Jo-Anne Yau, of the Yau Law firm, will be presenting “From Emblems to Empires:  Using Trademarks to Promote, Protect, and Produce Business”  to local businesses on Friday, December 10, 2010, from 11-2.  The seminar will be presented at Water’s Kitchen, in Orange Park, Florida.

Entrepreneurs and business owners will learn how to identify their trademarks, protect those marks with state registrations or federal USPTO registrations, and what to do when faced with infringers.  Ms. Yau will then show how to use trademarks to add value to products and services.  Finally, the attendees will learn strategies to expand and grow their businesses with trademarks and franchises.

This is a networking event, hosted by First Coast Community Network.  It is also the inaugural Holiday Lunch.
