The Yau Law Firm congratulates Michael G. Tanner, who has been elected by majority vote to take office on the Florida Bar’s Board of Governors on June 24, 2011, for a two-year term.

I have known Mike for several years, when he volunteered his time and expertise as my Mock Trial coach when I was a law student.  Since then, Mike has always been available to me as a mentor, and was always generous with his support and advice.

For 30 years, Mike has represented clients in complex litigation and has had a successful appellate practice.  He has been active with the Florida Bar for years, and has been involved in community organizations and events.

The election results were posted today on the Florida Bar’s website.  Gwynne Alice Young edged out Walter G. “Skip” Campbell for the office of President-elect.
