Yau Law Firm Sponsoring “Faces of Asia” Feb. 26 Fundraiser
The Yau Law Firm is sponsoring a poker table at the annual “Faces of Asia” fundraiser. The February 26 event at the University of North Florida is hosted by the Jacksonville Asian American Alliance, the city’s only non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Asian culture and supporting the Asian community.
This year’s “Faces of Asia” gala revolves around a casino night, where attendees may play poker, roulette, blackjack, and slots. Admission includes a purse of chips, and the chips can be redeemed for tickets that can be used to bid on silent auction items. Entertainment for the evening will include cultural performances by local Asian singers and dancers. In addition, attendees will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and dancing.
Over 400 people attended “Faces of Asia 2010.” UNF’s University Center was packed from wall to wall with the sold-out event.
JAAA is still looking for corporate sponsors. In addition to Yau Law, local organizations sponsoring the event include Prudential, Jaxport, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida, Southside Dermatology, and MetLife.
Attorney Jo-Anne Yau serves on the JAAA Board of Directors. On behalf of the Yau Law Firm, she is always looking for ways to support her community through speaking engagements, sponsorships, and participating in current events. If you would like her involvement, or you would like more information on the Faces of Asia event and JAAA, contact us.
